In less than 24 hours the Year 2008 will be no more, I wonder what 2009 is in store for me. But so far, I am loving the New Year…
I wrote this post last year, Dec 31, 2008 and was not able to finish it because I was too busy with preparing our New Year’s feast and I started reading again…
I’m not feeling too good since the new year mainly because of the weather which is taking a turn for the worst. Too cold for me and the short bursts of sunshine are always followed by rain. It did not rain today but I’m feeling too cold, might be the flu or something. My brother-in-law and my husband is sick so that makes three of us… Anyway, despite the crazy weather, I do have a lot to look forward to – I finally started reading again, although it might not be a good thing as I get too engrossed by what I am reading at the moment that I could not put a book down until I finish it. I would read absolutely everything and this time I got my hands on the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer, I read the whole series in more or less 96 hours, I could not put the books down. I saw the movie but somehow it did not feel right so I have to get the story firsthand and so I did and I absolutely love the series, it is so simple yet so intricately done that I could only marvel at the mind of its maker.
One other thing, my old trusty gigabyte laptop finally got the rest it deserves after a year and a half of working almost 24 hours a day. It is still with me but is now used for surfing and other mundane tasks, it still has a lot of power in it but not enough for what I need right now. I must have been an exeptionally good kid this year because I got what I want…
I am loving orange as of the moment and my orange dell studio 1537 is good enough for me. Its perfect, and more than I was used to. With 4gb ram and 320gb hdd its more than enough for my needs and I love the touch buttons although the sound is not as good as I want it to be but overall its is perfect for me. So back to work for me before the flu medicine kicks in.
