I’ve fallen in love
Categories: personal

I know I am a fickle minded collector, I collect dragons and I love them but recently I’ve been quite obsessed with dolls. Not the barbie type that most girls grow up with, I don’t like them and have never expressed any type of attachment to them although my little girl loves them. In fact, we have a 3 foot tall Snow White from the disney princess collection hanging in a nook under our stairs. I usually make her face the wall as I find it freaky, I can’t see very well at night and am totally blind without my glasses so going downstairs during the wee hours of the morning and spying someone looking at you under the stairs when you know you’re the only one awake is enough to scare the bejesus out of anyone (out of me, that is).

I first became enamored with Little Apple Dolls, they are not your typical doll. They have incomplete faces due to the fact that they are not of this world, they reside in the in-between world. I have been taken with the twins Creo and Pestis and their story and when I found them for sale I never got the chance to say no. Their mother, Origo was the universe before it was known as such and being the unstable being that she was she gave birth to twins: Creo and Pestis. Pestis was given the gift to end all things and Creo of the light the gift of bringing life. Pestis was lovingly called by Creo as Sister Death and Creo was called Light Bringer -  the creator and the destroyer. Creo creates things for Pestis to destroy.

I’ll post their complete story when they arrive. I have yet to see them, they should arrive next week, hopefully…

I originally wanted a Pullip doll and when I finished Kuroshitsuji, I fell in love with Sebastian and the Taeyang doll’s representation of him.

Now, can you see why I want them? They are absolutely lovely, they’re not toys and the price is not something to toy about as well. So, will someone please give one of them to me? My birthday’s in a month… :)

I also love this beautiful lady called Neo Noir:

She’s quite the enchantress…

So in my quest for dolls, I came to know quite a few and fell in love with a handful as well… I like the ladies but the gentlemen are absolutely drop dead gorgeous. I am talking about Asian Ball Jointed Dolls or BJDs as they are lovingly called by their lucky owners. If pullip dolls can set you back a hundred dollars, these babies can go as high as a few thousand dollars or so… All I can do is watch and collect their pictures – beautiful dolls not meant to be touched by me only to be looked upon with envy.
