Yesterday, I screwed up big time and I even wrote about it in a brand new wordpress install. I was ready to start anew, to leave everything behind but something inside me just wouldn’t give up. So I tried to check the damaged database file I have downloaded and after hours of extensive research I was able to isolate my posts, comments and links and imported them to my new database. And its August 2 all over again.

So, yeah, I’m pretty pleased with myself right now and still pushing the button…

I’m going to do a full system backup right now, don’t want to be in the same predicament again and lose years of posts and links most of which are paid (I need to pay for my hosting too…)
