Be Thumbed has been many things before this. It has been a directory, an elgg-powered site, a joomla-powered site, a social networking site and finally my personal wordpress-powered site. So, why did I finally choose wordpress? From the visually stunning default templates, the easy navigation, the no-nonsense installation of plugins, widgets and templates – what more can I ask?I decided to create my own personal site where I will talk about one particular topic per month and post helpful and exciting tips and sites about that particular topic. I am going to do this because of the amount of time I usually spend in front of my laptop, browsing websites after websites, reading posts after posts and downloading free (and some…) softwares and applications. It would actually be an online repository for me and for anyone who might be looking for the same things.

To start off for this month, I will be writing mostly about Search Engine Optimization – boring subject you might say. But you would be astounded by the quantity of resources and articles good and bad about this particular topic. I’ll start on the topic tomorrow, its been a long day for me.
