I don’t know if this will sell… Although no time to spare, I know I had to do it, my oil pastels are staring me straight in the face telling me to pick it up and make something. And so I did and from that picture a story was born.

The title of the children’s book I wrote and illustrated is: “Won’t you be my friend?” – the story of the pretty yellow bird and the tiny orange ant.

It is a story about friendship. It might seem nonsensical to some but I know my kids will love it. I already ordered one and can’t wait to show it to my little kiddies. To order just click the link below.

This review is loooooong overdue.. I received a book from my good friend Bear Jack Gebhardt of Heart Mountain Monastery a few weeks back but I did not get the chance to read it because my mother-in-law got to it firsthand and I had a few things under my belt to take care of first. Sorry Bear for the long wait.

First off, I love the cover, simple yet classy but what I love most about it is the first page…

I got a signed copy from one of my favorite authors of all time!
The inside page says:

For JC – My “techie” inspiration

Thank you for all you have done!

In Peace
Bear

The book is a joy to read and in a world of riotous order this book offers a special place where peace is at home. I am a voracious reader and would usually read a book in one sitting but with this book, I had to reread each chapter twice even thrice that it more than doubled the time I usually spend in a book. And that for one says a lot about this book – it made me think really deep about how it would affect me and its effect on my daily life. It is a good read even for those people who are not into self-help or inspirational books, it offers a satisfying insight of how we could and should incorporate peace into our daily lives.

It makes me think of my life and the way I am living it, am I at peace with my life?

I don’t know…

An excerpt from the book:

If in doubt about the presence of peace in your life, ask yourself: Am I at peace with this thought, yes or no? If it’s not an immediate and spontaneous yes, it’s a no.

Needless to say, the book Practicing the Presence of Peace is a rare gem and will teach you how to be at peace when you are not at peace with the thoughts you are currently thinking. I, myself, am trying to find my presence of peace and this book is the ultimate key – simple yet true.
