Dropping out of the Rat Race
Hi folks, I know I haven’t been active for the past few days. Before I go on, Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you. Better late than never, don’t you think?
The exhaustive day to day work of being a full time mom and a full time worker is finally catching up. And I could no longer handle all those little details that are very abundant in my life, so I decided to chuck a few things from my to-do list and one of those is dropping out of the “Paradise Philippines” rat race once and for all. I could not devote any time to it with all the responsibilities that I have been and am still handling, in fact I barely get enough sleep to compensate. So, with that I am now on the verge of redesigning Be Thumbed. I am still planning on the over all look of the site, I could not give a definite time but I will redesign it soon so watch out for a whole new Be Thumbed. That’s it for now.
Free 1 Month Blog Exposure on USA Today Homepage Directory
Fuelmyblog does it again. They are offering all Fuelmyblog bloggers a chance to showcase their blogs at the USA Today Homepage Blogger/Podcaster Guide for one month FREE! I am not one to pass such a great offer, so I headed on to the sign-up page at bloggerandpodcaster.com/usatoday and registered. The process is relatively easy although I was expecting to bypass the credit card info page since this is a free offer - no chance. I know that it is a necessary step but it would have been nice not to input credit card info for once.
Look for my blog on the 15th of February. I wonder what it can do for my readership… Let’s just wait and see…
You can read more about the offer at the Fuelmyblog Blog here.
Paypal Philippine Bank Withdrawal
Paypal recently launched a “Withdraw to Bank Account” Feature for Philippine-based paypal accounts. It is free for withdrawals of Php 7,000 up and a Php 50.00 fee for less than Php 7,000.00, a surefire way to save on fees. According to paypal it is going to take 5-7 business days for money to be credited in your account. I tried it out last January 29, I waited and was a bit anxious because I’ve read of some posts about their withdrawals taking more than the stated timeline. I do have an eon account, withdrawals to eon typically takes 3-4days. So I checked again this morning and after 5 days of waiting, the money I withdrew from my paypal is sitting there in my account and I have a grin on my face.
