HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Three and half hours left for the year 2007 - Philippine Time.
A Prosperous New Year to all!
My To do list
Time flies too fast. Too fast for comfort, just yesterday, my one year old son was still a baby dependent on me for everything and now is slowly gaining confidence and independence, it started with his first step and his first word; my daughter was a mommy’s girl, she could not go to sleep without mommy, nor go anywhere without mommy, now she only remembers me when she needs something, she is always telling me that she is already a big girl and can take care of herself. I dread the day when they do grow up and will finally leave the comfort of our home to start their own families…
I am not a fan of New Year’s resolutions, I know I will not be able to keep them. Of course, I will try but it will almost always end up the same - to be included in the next year’s New Year’s resolution. I just don’t want to fool myself and make a resolution just because it is the new year. But I am going to make an exception for this New Year - I am going to make a to do list but not just for this year but for all the years to come.
1. Stop and smell the flowers - Stop being too busy to smell the flowers or to appreciate the wonderful, simple and common everyday things, its the simple things that are free and makes life worth living.
2. Don’t forget to say “Goodbye” - Saying goodbye does not really mean not seeing each other again, goodbye makes the next meeting all the more special. I know a lot of people who have neglected to say goodbye to a loved one and regretted it, don’t be one of them.
3. Smile - A smile is worth a thousand words. To smile is to show the world that you care.
4. Tell yourself you’re Beautiful every single day - The moment you wake up, stand in front of a mirror and tell yourself that you are beautiful. Doing that everyday will help you gain more self-confidence and give you the jump start to make your day wonderful and worthwhile.
5. Say “I love you” to your loved ones at least once a day - Seeing your husband, your wife, your children, your parents, your siblings everyday builds up familiarity and with it the subconscious sense telling you that these people already know you love them and you do not have to say it out loud. Wrong. These people more than anybody else needs to hear those three words at least once a day.
Car Accident Attorney - do they really exist?
Living in the Philippines where car accidents are as regular as sunrise, you could not blame me if I think that car accident attorneys are as rare as gems. In the Philippines, suing a person for a car accident crime is just for the popular or the rich, a peddler or a no-name person involved in a car accident would be better off tending to his own wounds than finding a lawyer and suing the driver. Its a no-win situation unless you’re popular and rich. I do love the Philippines, but I hate the judicial system that is why after browsing through the website of an austin car accident lawyer I came to realize just how bad our rights as private citizens are taken for granted. I would love to have a lawyer as good as the Texas Injury Lawyers if ever I am involved in a car accident, God forbid, unfortunately, Texas is very far from the Philippines. I would love to be a Car Accident Lawyer, but I just do not have the time and the resources to go back to school… ![]()
